This subsidy is open to all Boroondara households.
Each property is eligible for one free assessment. If your household has received a subsidised home assessment in the last 5 years, you are not eligible.
You cannot get an assessment in a home that shares heating, ventilation and air conditioning with other dwellings.
Free home energy assessments are available until 31 December 2026 or until funds are exhausted.

BooST is the City of Boroondara's Home Energy Upgrade Program, delivered with HP Energy. It combines advice, access to qualified participating installers and a subsidy of up to $2,000 for eligible households.
The BooST subsidy reduces the remaining eligible out-of-pocket expense after other government rebates or subsidies have been applied.
If your household received a subsidy as part of BooST stage 1 pilot between March 2026 and July 2026 you are not eligible to receive a subsidy in this round.
This subsidy is not delivered via the Council Home Energy Program.
